Are you between the ages of 13 and 19? Do you create music? Do you want a recording of your music played before a live audience at Summit at the Pier – Rethink Thinking on October 1 and 2? Do you want that music to be included in a compilation that is tied to the Summit community so people can share your music with friends even after the summit? If “yes” to these questions, you are in luck!
Please send your music in mp3 format via email to jeff.hopkins@learningstorm.org by no later than 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, September 25 after which a jury of pretty nice and open-minded people will listen to you music and make their selection for the event. We want a wide variety of music, so don’t worry about genre or style too much. We are playing for people the same age as you, so we know that means lots of different kinds of music will work.
If we can use your stuff, we will contact you by Tuesday, September 26, confirm your permission to use it in the ways stated above, and then release your genius to the world. If we can’t use your stuff, don’t take it too hard. It is about fit with our event and about variety, so we might have to pass your music over if one of those boxes can;t be checked.
